World Martial Arts Hall of Fame has honored Founder of Indian Taekwondo Association; Grand Master of eighth Dan Puran Andriyu Gurung with cash on Tuesday.
President of Nepal Para-Taekwondo Association Janardan Dhungel handed Gurung with cash of Rs. 10, 000 and letter of appreciation.
Gurung was born in Kuala Lumpur and was a Judo player at the age of 9.
“I am thankful to you all for thinking me as the position of honor. Nepal Taekwondo level is good. The players can do much more,” said 68-years-old Gurung-who is currently living in New Delhi, India.
