Nepal Police has won the Huawei Nova to I Impact Thamel Open Table Tennis’s mix team event title on Monday. Nepal Police defeated APF by 17-5 in the finals. There were 5 each members from both men and women.
In men’s single event Police’s Shantanu defeated APF’s Amarlal 2-1, womens’s single event Police’s Nabita defeated APF’s Salisha 3-0. Similarly, Police won 2-1 and 3-0 in men and women’s double event respectively. In mix doubles, Police won 2-1. The only time APF defeated Police was in men’s single event when Shiva defeated Binesh by 2-1.
APF entered the finals on Monday when they defeated Nepal Army by 17-11 in second qualifiers.
In the competition of seven teams, Nepal Army finished third.
40k, 20k and 10k were given respectively to the winners, runner-up and third placed teams.
The players finishing first second and third received 25k, 15k and 10k respectively.
In U16 boys single, APF’s Samyog Kapali won the title coming first ahead of his teammate Alex Maharjan. In girls Nepal Army’s Dikshya won the gold defeating Bajra Union’s Smriti Panta.
More than 80 players took part in the competition held from Mangsir 17.
