Nepal National Football Team Begins Training For AFC Asian Cup 2019 Qualifier

Nepal National team has begun training for upcoming AFC Asian Cup 2019 Qualifiers.

Only ten players turned up in the first day of training session.

Alan Neupane, Dinesh Rajbanshi, Rajendra Rawal, Ananta Tamang, Bishal Shrestha, Rajin Dhimal, Aditya Chaudhary, Suman Lama, Yubraj khadka and Ravi Paswan reported the practice field today morning.

Defender Aditya Chaudhary and striker Suman Lama didn’t train with the team as they are suffering from knee injury.

Nepal Army players are expected to join the camp from tomorrow. Army men are returning Kathmandu today from Simara.

Nepal has been grouped with Philippines, Tajikistan and Yemen in Group F of the qualifier.

Gorkhali will play their first away match against Philippines at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila, Philippines on March 28.

Head Coach Gyotoku Koji had called 36 players to join the preliminary squad. 13 new players have been added to the 23 players that won AFC Solidarity Cup 2016 on November 2016.

However, MMC players will join the camp in later days as MMC is taking part in Sheikh Kamal International Cup scheduled on February 18- March 1, 2017 in Bangladesh.
