Goal galore in National Women’s League as APF and Army bag impressive wins

Nepal Army Club thumped Western Region 12-0 while Nepal APF Team hammered 26 past Mid-Western in the ongoing 16th National Women’s Football League Championship 2074 on Monday at ANFA Complex, Satdobato.

APF were already a staggering 14 goals to the good at half time and added another 12 in the second half with Sabitra Bhandari’s record breaking 12 (twelve) goals.

Bhandari scored in the 3rd, 15th, 17th, 24th, 34th, 40th, 47th, 52nd, 59, 60th, 77th, and in 90+1’ to mark her personal best in the scoring sheet.

Likewise, Anita KC (11th, 16th, 44th, 72nd, 81st) and Anjali Yonjan (29th, 39th, 49th, 88th) scored four goals each while Rekha Poudel (65th, 78th) scored a brace and Anita Basnet (18th) netted a single for the winning team.

Earlier in the first match, Army shattered visiting team Western Region with a dozen goals. In the win for Army, Dipa Rai alone scored five goals while Skipper Krishna Khatri scored a hat-trick.

Skipper Khatri opened the firing the for Army in the 27th minute of the match. She then completed a hat-trick scoring later in 49th and 81st (P) minute.

Similarly,  Dipa Rai got her goals in the 44th, 63rd, 69th, 78th and 82nd minutes.

The other goals were scored by Puja Rana (36th), Sharmila Thapa (54th)  and Indira Rai (72nd, 75th).
