Two players from U-16 honored

Two players from U-16 winning teams of Eastern Region ACC U-16 Cricket competition has been honored at Dhangadi today. The honored players are Narayan Joshi and Subodh Airee, who were honored by Far Western and Dhangadi Academy. Both the players are youth products of Dhangadi Academy.

The players duo were honored by Province No. 7’s Head of Police Madhav Nepal and Kailali District Sports Council’s President Deepak Singh. Both the honoring members claimed that the players duo has a great future ahead.

Both the players played pivotal role in Nepal’s winning campaign in ACC U-16 Eastern Region. Narayan Joshi had chance to play all the five games where he claimed 11 wickets, including a five-fer against Thailand and four-fer against Myanmar. He also scored a superb 46 not out runs in the finals against Singapore which included 5 fours.

Meanwhile, Subodh Airee got the chance to play only 2 games which included the final too. He scored 22 runs in the finals with 4 fours.

Both the player have been granted scholarship in one year’s cricket training. They will be training 6 months in India and 6 months in Sri Lanka, whose sponsorship will be provided by Dhangadi and Far Western Cricket Academy.
