The Ministry of Youth and Sports has honored Nepal National Women’s Cricket Team- the runners-up of Global T20 Qualifier
Cricket Tournament – with cash prizes on Wednesday.
The ministry honored 14 players, 1 coach and 1 physio of the team. As announced earlier, the team members received Rs. 25
Thousand cash and letter of felicitation.
Sports Minister Daljit B.K Shreepali and Sub-Secretary of Sports Ministry Chudamani Poudel honored the team members at Singha Durbar.
“We must learn from loss. The tradition of being disappointed in loss and being overexcited when we win must end.” addressed
Sports Minister Kapali in the program.
“The only Kritipur Stadium is not sufficient to our players. I know players are playing despite facing many difficulties and we respect the results.”
“We are now fully focused on the 7th National Sports. I request all the concerned people and organizations to work on this.” pointed Shreepali in his speech.
“To achieve best results, we need to practice a lot.
“We want Long-term plans and policies for the game. We must pay due attention in organizing enough domestic tournaments.” Added team captain Rubina said.
The team members who were honored are:
Players: Rubina Chhetri ( C ), Sita Rana Magar (VP), Neri Thapa, Nira Rajopadhaya, Karuna Bhandari, Ssarita Magar, Indu Barma,
Kajol Shrestha, Sabnam Rai, Roshni Bohora, Saraswati Chaudhary, Rashmi Sharma, Nirmala Shahi and Jyoti Pande.
