The first ever match between MCC and Nepal at Lord’s on Tuesday 19 July will be live streamed on the Lord’s YouTube Channel.
The 50-over fixture, organised to mark the bicentenary of positive relations between the UK and Nepal, will feature Paras Khadka, Gyanendra Malla and former Middlesex all-rounder Keith Dutch, who will captain MCC.
MCC toured Nepal for the third time in its history last year, playing six matches across both Kathmandu and Pokhara, and giving coaching sessions to local youngsters who had been affected by the April 2015 earthquake.
It was the third time MCC have toured Nepal. The first visit was in March 2003 and the second – led by former England international Min Patel – took place in March 2009.
John Stephenson said: “We are looking forward to welcoming Nepal’s players, officials and supporters to Lord’s for the first time on Tuesday – along with those watching at home via the Lord’s YouTube Channel stream. The MCC tour in November last year was a huge success and proved how much cricketing talent there is in Nepal. It promises to be a fantastic day on Tuesday and a great way to celebrate 200 years of relations between the UK and Nepal.”
The full MCC team to play Nepal at Lord’s is: Keith Dutch (Captain, Ex-Middlesex and Somerset CCC), Glenn Phillips (MCC Young Cricketers, Auckland Aces), James Overy (Brondesbury CC), Clinton Perren (Ex-Australia A and Queensland), Mike Coles (Wiltshire CCC), Steve Clark (Hampstead CC), George Adair (Hampstead CC), Richard Wilkinson (Alderley Edge CC), Chad Barrett (Ex-MCC Young Cricketers), Marc Reingold (Stanmore CC), Alex Senneck (UK Armed Forces CC).
Play starts at 11am and tickets are priced at £10 for Adults, £5 for Senior Citizens and free for Under 16s.
The match will also be available to view on the Lord’s Facebook profile, as another live stream.
