Xenium National Academy and New Vision Academy have clinched the title of 1st FISM Cup Inter-School Basketball Tournament in Boy’s and Girl’s category on Thursday.
Xenium defeated Himalayan E.B.S 55-40 in the boys final to lift the title. Sujan Karki scored highest 20 points for champion team. Grammar School became third in the championship.
In the girls’ final held at New Vision School’s court, hosts ousted Gateway Academy 28-16. Laxmi Shrestha scored 13 points for New Vision.
Lyceum Paradise defeated Grammar 19-14 to become third in the girl’s side.
Xenium’s Bishnu Basnet (boys) and New Vision’s Laxmi Shrestha (Girls) were declared the Most Valuable Player of the tournament. They both received a scholarship package for +2 in Olympia World College.
General Secretary and Technical Director of Nepal Basketball Association Narendra Thapa, President of FISM Gyanendra Prasad Parajuli and other guest distributed the prizes to the winning team and players.
