Koji Comes With Exotic 36-Member Preliminary Squad For AFC Asian Cup Qualifier

Nepal Head Coach Gyotoku Koji has announced preliminary squad for the upcoming AFC Asian Cup 2019 Qualifiers.

13 players including Karna Limbu and Hemanta Thapa Magar have been added to the 23 players that won AFC Solidarity Cup 2016 on November.

Nepal has been grouped with Philippines, Tajikistan and Yemen in Group F of the qualifier.

Gorkhali will play its first away match against Philippines at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila, Philippines on March 28.

The training session will begin from 12th February, 2017 with players of Manang Marsyandi Club joining on a later date.

MMC is taking part in Sheikh Kamal International Cup scheduled on February 18 to March 1 in Bangladesh.

The announced preliminary squads are:

GKs:  Bikesh Kuthu, Kiran Chemjong, Bishal Shrestha, Alan Neupane.

DFs: Rabin Shrestha, Biraj Maharjan, Ananta Tamang, Deepak Gurung, Aditya Chaudhary, Kamal Shrestha, Devendra Tamang, Ranjit Dhimal, Bimal Pande, Jitendra Karki, Man Bahadur Tamang, Dinesh Rajbanshi, Rohit Chand, Bimal Basnet.

MFs: Bishal Rai, Heman Gurung, Bikram Lama, Anjan Bista, Sujal Shrestha, Suman Lama, Rajendra Rawal, Rabi Paswan, Bishow Adhikari, Sunil Bal, Hemanta Thapa Magar.

FWs: Bimal Gharti Magar, Ranjan Bista, Anil Gurung, Nawayug Shrestha, Bharat Khawash, Karna Limbu, Yubraj Khadka.
