Mountaineering Institution based in South Korea has honored Nepal’s sports journalist Raju Silwal for his contribution in adventure sports on Wednesday.
Park Young Siyok Exploration and Culture Foundation honored Silwal with letter of felicitation. The foundation was established in the memory of the world famous climber Park Young Siyok.
Chairman of the Union of Asian Alpine, Dr. Lee In Jiyong handed over the certificate to Silwal.
Silwal has spent almost three decades in the sports and adventure sports journalism. He has presented stories of many adventure climber in Nepal Television. Silwal currently works as chief news editor at Nepal Television.
Climber Park in 2011 was climbing Mount Annapurna and it is believed that a stone falling from 64 hundred meter made him disappear.
